David Martin has served as president of The Premium Group, Inc. since 1993. Together with his team, he developed a highly successful client-centered model for providing professional liability insurance to physicians. David has been a principal and a manager in many entrepreneurial ventures in health care during the past 25 years.
Laurie B. Advent, Associate Vice President

Laurie Advent joined The Premium Group in March of 2006. She obtained her Property and Casualty License when she made a career change in 1998. She has more than ten years experience in various insurance specialties, including commercial lines, personal lines and mortgage protection. She feels that professional liability insurance is her preference to date considering all the challenges doctors face in today’s market.

Shelley joined the Premium Group in 2010 with extensive experience in insurance and financial markets. She has been instrumental in increasing new business. In recognition of her success, she has been recently promoted to associate vice president with responsibility for managing our new business team.
Jon Hardacre, Vice President

Jon L. Hardacre is a lifelong Clevelander and a graduate of Hawken School and The Ohio State University. Prior to joining The Premium Group in 1998, he was a sales professional and underwriter in the financial and insurance industries. He is a graduate of the Westfield Insurance TAPP Program. His Medical Professional Liability Insurance career began in 1997. During his ten-year tenure with the Premium Group, Jon has focused on new and renewal business and prides himself on exemplary customer service.

Melissa is our most recent addition to The Premium Group team but comes with six years of experience in the insurance industry. Melissa’s cheery disposition and positive attitude have contributed to her success as she focuses on new business.

Since joining The Premium Group in 2001, Sylwia has been engaged in all aspects of the agency. This broad experience led to her current position as senior vice president of operations with responsibility for developing new business relationships, opportunities and the systems to support them. Sylwia’s primary focus is our people and she feels that The Premium Group has an experienced team that is qualified to address the unique demands of the medical malpractice insurance market.
Gayle Turk, Vice President

Gayle Turk has been with The Premium Group almost since its inception. Gayle joined the Premium Group in 1994 and was soon instrumental in implementing the agency’s automation system. Throughout the years, Gayle has been directly involved in training, managing, developing workflows and procedures. Gayle’s extensive experience and knowledge of the Ohio insurance market has enabled her to maintain a 95 percent retention rate on her current book of business.

After several jobs in various insurance agencies, Sandy began her long relationship with The Premium Group in 1995. Her main focus during the early years was claims and licensing. Her extensive experience and expertise has been critical in facilitating the application and underwriting processes for the specialty accounts. Sandy facilitates claim processing and serves as a liason between our insureds and the insurance company.
