In 1975, John S. Martin, M.D. founded Physician Staffing, Inc. (PSI). Initially, PSI staffed local hospitals with emergency room physicians. The business quickly grew into a multi-faceted medical services company.

In 1993, after becoming frustrated with limited options, inadequate information and mediocre service, the Martins created their own medical malpractice insurance agency, The Premium Group, Inc. Based on their prior negative experiences, the Martins were determined to offer the critical insurance information, tools, and service that they searched for themselves.

Today, PGI remains committed to doctors. We strive to make the medical professional liability insurance process easier by providing exceptional customer service, up-to-date information and various options.
